“At the same time, the PAC would like to urge the government to consider the views in our report before it makes any decision which could have financial implications for the country,” he said in a statement today.
Wong said the PAC had continued with its hearing on Thursday with senior officers from the prime minister’s department, Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (Mampu), National Security Council and the National Cyber Security Agency clarifying various issues raised by the committee.
He said the proceedings lasted three hours and focused on who was involved in selecting KPI Soft Sdn Bhd as the vendor, the non-existence of official contracts between the company and the government, the ownership of the intellectual property and the various court documents involved in an ongoing intellectual property claim.
Last week, the PAC called up health minister Khairy Jamaluddin and finance minister Tengku Zafrul Aziz to hear their explanation on the ownership of the app.
