
According to the ministry’s GitHub database, there were 6,342 new cases, comprising 6,322 local cases and 20 imported cases.
Of the 12 deaths, two were classified as brought-in-dead (BID) cases. The death toll now stands at 35,482.
Johor and Melaka recorded the most deaths with three each. This was followed by Selangor (2), Penang (2), Sabah (1) and Sarawak (1).
There were no deaths recorded in all other states and federal territories.
As of midnight, there were 85,403 active cases, with 1,657 people hospitalised. Of this, 91 were in intensive care units (ICU), with 61 requiring respiratory assistance.
There were also 9,111 recoveries recorded.
The total number of Covid-19 cases stands at 4,421,443.
