12 Covid-19 deaths, 6,069 new cases

There were also 10,619 recoveries yesterday.

One death was classified as a brought-in-dead (BID) case.
PETALING JAYA:
The health ministry reported 12 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, a dip from 16 previously.

The death toll stands at 35,449.

According to the ministry’s GitHub database, there were 6,069 new cases, compared with 7,140 a day earlier. They comprised 5,959 local cases and 110 imported cases.

One death was classified as brought-in-dead (BID).

Perak recorded five deaths, followed by Johor which had three, while Kedah, Melaka, Pahang and Putrajaya reported one each.

There were no deaths in the other states and the federal territories.

As of midnight, there were 92,039 active cases, with 1,988 hospitalised. Of this, 97 were in intensive care units (ICU), with 64 requiring respiratory assistance.

There were also 10,619 recoveries.

The total number of Covid-19 cases stands at 4,402,234.
