
Of this, 215 cases were in Category 1 and 2 while 167 were in Category 3, 4 and 5.
Selangor had the highest number of new admissions with 75, followed by Perak (67) and Kuala Lumpur (39).
A total of 384 patients were also discharged yesterday.
In a statement, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Covid-19 intensive care units (ICUs) were at 20% of their total capacity of 861 beds.
ICU beds in two regions have exceeded 50% capacity, namely Putrajaya (100%) and Selangor (53%).
A total of 110 patients required respiratory assistance, with ventilators being used at 13% of their maximum capacity.
The use of normal Covid-19 beds has exceeded 50% capacity in Putrajaya (59%).
In terms of the total capacity for both Covid-19 and non-Covid-19 patients at public hospitals, non-critical beds were at 59% capacity while 52% of ICUs were in use.
One cluster was reported yesterday.
The Covid-19 infectivity rate (R0) stood at 0.82.
