
According to the ministry’s GitHub database, there were 17,476 new cases, comprising 17,312 local cases and 164 imported cases.
Of the 30 deaths, five were classified as brought-in-dead (BID) cases. The death toll now stands at 35,013.
Johor recorded the most deaths with eight. This was followed by Negeri Sembilan (4), Kedah (3), Melaka (3), Sarawak (2), Perak (2), Perlis (2), Kelantan (1), Penang (1), Pahang (1), Selangor (1) , Kuala Lumpur (1) and Labuan (1).
There were no deaths in Sabah, Terengganu and Putrajaya.
As of midnight, there were 206,979 active cases, with 4,177 people hospitalised. Of this, 263 were in intensive care units (ICU), with 162 requiring respiratory assistance.
There were also 17,321 recoveries yesterday.
The total number of Covid-19 cases stands at 4,219,395.
