
It said it took seriously the allegation that the offender was a Prasarana staff member based on the uniform in the video.
“It is believed the incident occurred when the victim was caught red-handed taking food without paying at the convenience store,” Prasarana said in a statement.
“However, the offender’s behaviour is against Prasarana’s code of conduct. In any situation, if further assistance is needed, the matter should be escalated to the relevant authorities.”
Prasarana added that an internal investigation has been launched and urged the public who witnessed the incident or have more information on it to call 03-78852585 or email [email protected].
“Prasarana also apologises for this incident and assures appropriate follow-up action will be taken to ensure that such things will not happen again in future,” it said.
