Duo allegedly denied visitor entry to the emergency ward, and had also spoken to her in an improper manner.

PETALING JAYA:
The Selayang Hospital security department has taken action against two of its security guards who allegedly denied a woman entry to the emergency ward.

Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah confirmed this in a post on Twitter, having earlier said an investigation would take place after the incident was brought to his attention.

“The Selayang Hospital security department has taken remedial action by reprimanding the security guards concerned.

“They have been instructed to adopt appropriate communication procedures when dealing with patients and visitors to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future,” he said.

On Wednesday, Twitter user @elizanathaniel alleged that she was denied entry to see her father at the emergency ward as she was deemed to have been dressed “inappropriately”.

She claimed the security guards had spoken to her in an improper manner.

However, in a tweet today, the woman said the matter had since been resolved with the hospital issuing a personal apology.
