Woman ‘slapped for making noise’ in kitchen – cops to probe

A video believed to be from a CCTV camera went viral on social media last Sunday.

Police will investigate an incident involving a woman allegedly slapping her housemate for making noise in the kitchen.

The incident that took place in Bandar Utama, Damansara, was allegedly recorded on a CCTV camera before it went viral on social media last Sunday.

Petaling Jaya district police chief Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said the police received a report from the woman who claimed to have been beaten by her housemate.

“The incident is believed to have occurred when the victim was cooking in the kitchen. She was approached by her housemate who claimed to be disturbed.

“The woman then slapped the victim and the action was caught on camera,” he said according to a Harian Metro report.

Fakhrudin added that the victim’s housemate has been called to testify to assist the police in their investigation.

“The case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt,” he said.
