PETALING JAYA:
The bodies of the third and fourth victims of the landslide at Taman Bukit Permai 2 in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, were found this morning.

Earlier, an elderly woman and a man were confirmed dead, while another man was found injured.

According to Bernama, Ampang Jaya police chief Mohamad Farouk Eshak said the latest victims were Malaysian men, including an employee of Syarikat Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd.

One of the bodies was recovered at about 12.45am, and the other just before 2am.

The identities of all the victims have yet to be determined.

“The search and rescue operation for the victims ended early this morning,” Farouk told reporters at the scene.

He said police would guard the area to ensure that the belongings of the residents were safe.

Selangor fire and rescue department director Norazam Khamis said the K9 unit would be deployed to the site to ensure that there were no other victims.

“Clean-up work will be carried out by the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council,” he said.
