
The ministry also reported 23,100 new cases, comprising 22,802 local and 298 imported cases.
Of the 75 deaths, 20 were classified as brought-in-dead (BID) cases. The death toll now stands at 32,729.
Selangor recorded the most deaths with 22. This was followed by Johor (13), Sabah (11), Kedah (7), Perak (7), Penang (3), Kelantan (3), Melaka (3), Terengganu (2), Kuala Lumpur (1), Negeri Sembilan (1), Pahang (1) and Sarawak (1).
There were no deaths in Perlis, Putrajaya and Labuan.
As of midnight, there were 293,423 active cases, with 7,881 hospitalised. Of this, 361 were in intensive care units (ICU), 193 of whom required respiratory assistance.
There were also 30,624 recoveries.
The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia stands at 3,442,736.
