MACC senior director of investigations Hishamuddin Hashim said another 10 people would be called in to give their statements on the case.
“The investigation is expected to take two weeks starting this week and the people who will be called to give their statements comprise members of the board and senior Mara officials.
“This is for us to know whether the provision of allowances, as had been alleged (in a report received by MACC), had been approved by the board members or not,” he said.
Hishamuddin said MACC also obtained all the necessary documents during the raids it conducted at Mara’s headquarters and Mara Corp offices as well as a corporate secretarial company on Monday.
MACC chief commissioner Azam Baki said yesterday that statements had been recorded from seven people in the investigation into the case.
On Saturday, MACC confirmed receiving a report on alleged integrity issues involving several senior Mara officers, who are being investigated internally by the agency.
