A laundry shop assistant pleaded not guilty in the sessions court here today to deceiving a man into believing that he could secure a pipeline replacement project in Terengganu.

Herisyam Abdul Wahid, 48, entered the plea after the charge was read out to him before Judge Rozilah Salleh.

According to the charge, Herisyam is alleged to have deceived a 41-year-old man into handing over RM100,000 to help secure an engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of a gas pipeline replacement project from Petronas Gas Bhd.
