Health ministry reports 11 new Covid-19 deaths

This brings the total number of fatalities to 32,011.

PETALING JAYA:
The health ministry reported 11 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, according to its GitHub database.

Of the total, four were classified as brought-in-dead (BID). The death toll now stands at 32,011.

Most of the fatalities were recorded in Johor with three deaths, followed by Penang (2), Sabah (2), Kedah (1), Perak (1), Selangor (1) and Terengganu (1).

There were no deaths reported in Kelantan, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perlis, Sarawak, Kuala Lumpur, Labuan dan Putrajaya.

As of midnight, there were 63,395 active cases including 118 in intensive care units (ICU), 57 of whom require respiratory assistance.

There were also 5,254 recoveries reported.

The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia stands at 2,895,014.
