PETALING JAYA: Thirteen new Covid-19 deaths were reported by the health ministry yesterday, with four cases brought in dead.
The death toll now stands at 31,978.
Johor and Kelantan each recorded three deaths while there were two deaths in Sabah.
There was one death each in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Perak and Terengganu.
There were 54,777 active cases reported at midnight, 85% of whom are in home quarantine.
There are 3,655 people receiving treatment in hospital, including 114 in intensive care, 62 of whom require respiratory assistance.
There were also 3,232 recoveries reported.
The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia now stands at 2,870,758 cases.
