PETALING JAYA:
Police seized 141kg of methamphetamine worth almost RM6 million in several raids around Kuala Lumpur and Selangor today.

Six drug syndicate members, including a Vietnamese woman, aged between 24 and 42, were arrested in the raids, according to Harian Metro.

Kuala Lumpur deputy police chief Yahaya Othman said the syndicate had been using a three-tonne lorry to store and deliver the drugs to their distributors.

He said the syndicate was led by a man from a neighbouring country, adding that they would stay at hotels and homestays.

“This syndicate has been actively distributing drugs since a month ago. Further investigations revealed that four of them have prior drug-related records.

“All six suspects will be remanded to assist in the investigations under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952,” he said.
