PETALING JAYA:
Police are investigating whether SOPs were violated at an Ipoh waterpark after a video went viral of a large group at a pool there.

In a statement, Ipoh district police chief Yahaya Hassan said the waterpark management confirmed that the video in question was made on Jan 29, sometime between 1pm and 6pm.

“According to the waterpark management, the pool can accommodate 500 people at any one time but was less than 50% full at the time the video was taken.

He said police were now studying the SOPs to identify whether there was any violation of rules.

Yahaya advised the public not to speculate on the case as it may affect the police investigation.
