PETALING JAYA: PAS Youth chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari has been appointed Perikatan Nasional (PN) Youth chief.
In a statement today, PN secretary-general Hamzah Zainudin said the decision to appoint Fadhli was “unanimous”.
PN comprises Bersatu, PAS, Gerakan and Sabah-based parties STAR and SAPP.
Fadhli, who is also Pasir Mas MP, replaces Khairil Nizam Khirudin in the position effective immediately. Khairil, a senator, is the PAS information chief.
PN chairman Muhyiddin Yassin had earlier handed over the letter of appointment to Fadhli at the coalition’s headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.
Fadhli was elected the new head of the PAS Youth wing in October last year, also taking over from Khairil.
