
Of the total, two were classified as brought-in-dead (BID). The death toll now stands at 31,869.
Most of the fatalities were recorded in Selangor with four deaths, followed by Sabah (3), Negeri Sembilan (2), Penang (2), Johor (1), Kedah (1), Kelantan (1), Kuala Lumpur (1) and Perak (1).
There were no deaths reported in Melaka, Pahang, Perlis, Sarawak, Terengganu, Labuan and Putrajaya.
As of midnight, there were 42,843 active cases including 149 in intensive care units (ICU), 71 of whom require respiratory assistance.
There were also 2,804 recoveries reported.
The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia stands at 2,824,973.
