The organiser, Persatuan Sahabat Ulul Amri Malaysia, said the group will demand an end to Najib’s persecution and that his rights be restored.
The group said it would also demand that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) be fair to Najib, as the agency had held back key evidence that could exonerate Najib.
It claimed the “Ambank report” had been deliberately ignored in Najib’s corruption trial.
“Najib has been persecuted, oppressed, abused and denied his rights and due justice.
“All the exposes (on the new evidence) showed that the attorney-general’s chambers, prosecution and investigating agencies are well aware of wrongdoings of others in the case.
“We urge the powers-that-be to investigate the previous Pakatan Harapan and Perikatan Nasional governments to see if they held back information about wrongdoings by ‘big names’, causing Najib to be deprived of using the new evidence in court,” it said.
