Cops to question youth activist over #TangkapAzamBaki rally

Dang Wangi police have called in Adam Adli, a former student activist, over the protest which is set to take place outside the Sogo mall in Kuala Lumpur.

Adam Adli shared a poster with the likeness of Azam Baki and the words ‘Tangkap Azam Baki’ that went viral on social media last week.
PETALING JAYA:
Dang Wangi police will be questioning youth activist Adam Adli tomorrow regarding the #TangkapAzamBaki rally that is set to take place on Saturday.

This follows reports last week that a rally will be held in Kuala Lumpur calling for the resignation of embattled Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief Azam Baki.

However, it is still unclear as to who is organising the rally, that will likely be held at the Sogo shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur.

The former student activist, who is now a PKR Youth member, shared a poster with the likeness of Azam and the words “Tangkap Azam Baki” that went viral on social media.

The poster also includes a call to “Reform MACC” and was accompanied by the hashtag #TangkapAzamBaki.

The Azam Baki Arrest Action Committee said it will be holding a press conference in front of the Dang Wangi district police headquarters (IPD) at 3pm tomorrow to give its views on the investigation into the rally.
