In a press conference today, Kamarul said that several individuals were called by the police to assist in the probe.
“The investigation is still ongoing, and we have called several individuals to have their statements recorded. The Sedili assemblyman has filed a counter-report against the complainant.
“It would take about two to three days to complete the investigation and we will then give an update on the outcome,” he said.
Kamarul added that the police recorded the statement from the Bersatu assemblyman two days ago.
Earlier, the police had received a report from a 26-year old woman who claimed that she was sexually harassed by a Johor state assemblyman.
Kota Tinggi district police chief Hussin Zamora said the report was filed by the woman at the Kota Tinggi police station on Monday. A photo of the report then went viral on social media.
The woman, believed to be with the Johor Bersatu women’s wing, claimed that she was repeatedly harassed by the assemblyman.
Rasman denied the woman’s accusation and said that it was all part of a conspiracy to bring him down.
