Naidu had allegedly tested positive for drugs in Penang on Thursday.
Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said a full investigation would be carried out before submitting the investigation paper (IP) to the public prosecutor.
“We have sent a sample of the urine for analysis to get a complete report. The individual (Naidu) has also lodged a police report alleging someone had put something in his drink. We will investigate his allegation.

“Anyone can make a claim or lodge a police report. We will investigate thoroughly before the IP is completed and sent for further action,” he said at the Perak police headquarters.
He was speaking on Bukit Aman’s recent success in seizing drugs worth RM111.2 million in Batu Gajah near here. Also present was Perak police chief Mior Faridalathrash Wahid.
According to Bernama, Ayob Khan said investigations were also being carried out on two policemen arrested during the raid at the same entertainment outlet on Thursday.
Yesterday, Naidu had issued a statement defending himself over his arrest in Penang after allegedly testing positive for drugs.
He said his drink had been meddled with after he had gone to the toilet at the karaoke parlour and that he had subsequently lodged a police report to defend his claim upon being released from detention.
