PETALING JAYA: A nanny has been arrested on suspicion of having slapped an eight-month-old baby under her care.
Deputy CID chief Kamaruzaman Elias said the baby’s mother filed a report after noticing her child’s reddened cheek when the mother collected her baby from the nanny’s home on Tuesday.
“After further investigation, the 48-year-old nanny admitted to accidentally slapping the victim’s cheek for vomiting often,” Kamaruzaman said.
The woman has been released on police bail and the case will be referred to the Attorney- General’s Chambers, he said.
