PETALING JAYA; The health ministry reported 11 new Covid-19 deaths yesterday, according to its GitHub database. Of the total, two were classified as brought-in-dead (BID).

The death toll now stands at 31,655.

Selangor topped the latest list of fatalities with six deaths, followed by Perak (1), Terengganu (1), Sarawak (1), Sabah (1) and Kelantan (1)

Penang, Johor, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah, Melaka, Perlis, Pahang, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan did not record any death.

As of midnight, there were 39,776 active cases, including 253 in intensive care units (ICU), 115 of whom require respiratory assistance.

There were also 3,161 recoveries reported.

The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia now stands at 2,783,331 cases.
