PETALING JAYA: A Kuala Selangor Municipal Council (MPKS) officer was praised by exco member Ng Sze Han for staying calm in the midst of threats while issuing traffic summonses.
A video posted on Facebook by netizen Izzan Rashid, which went viral yesterday, showed a member of the public yelling and threatening the officer with violence.
Ng told FMT: “I would like to congratulate the MPKS officer in the video who calmly handled the situation. He didn’t retaliate. It was a good example.
“But I wish to also remind the public that this kind of action – obstructing public servants in discharge of their public duties – is against the law.”
