Senior defence minister Hishammuddin Hussein said the health ministry and the National Security Council had agreed for Sarawak and Kelantan to move from Phase 3 to Phase 4.

“This means all the states in Malaysia will have moved to Phase 4 of the (plan) from Monday,” he said in a statement.

Hishammuddin however advised the public not to be complacent as Covid-19 was still a threat to safety and health, especially with the spread of the Omicron variant.

“Everyone needs to follow the SOPs with discipline and to be responsible,” he said.

He also said the SOPs for states in Phase 4 were the same.
