KINABATANGAN: A woman died and eight others were injured after a four-wheel drive they were in skidded off Jalan Paris Satu at Kampung Paris here this morning.
In the incident which happened at about 7.50am, the woman, who was trapped in the vehicle, was confirmed dead by the medical team dispatched to the scene.
A spokesman for the operations mobilisation centre of the Sabah fire and rescue department said it received a call just before 8am.
He said the four-wheel drive had skidded off the road shoulder.
“There were nine people involved, consisting of four women and five men. A trapped victim who was extricated by firemen was confirmed dead.
“The other eight were given early treatment and sent to hospital.”
Their identities have not been disclosed.
