Nasom seeks donations to assist teachers, children affected by floods

Some of the teachers and students with autism were stranded in their homes for up to three days before they were evacuated, says the National Autism Society of Malaysia.

The National Autism Society of Malaysia (Nasom) is seeking donations for its flood relief fund in order to assist its teachers, staff and parents that were affected by the flood.

Nasom said in a statement that many of their belongings including furniture, electrical appliances and documents were destroyed in the flood.

“Some of these teachers, staff and parents were stranded in their homes for up to three days with minimal food and no electricity while waiting for the authorities to come and evacuate them.”

Nasom said anyone who wished to donate to their flood relief fund can transfer the donation to their CIMB Bank account number 8002646241 under the reference “DaruratBanjir”, donating through the crowdfunding platform The Noor apps, or visit their website www.nasom.org.my for more information.
