2,757 Covid-19 cases, 7 clusters

The cumulative number of infections is now 2,743,936, with 2,669,654 cases having recovered.

PETALING JAYA:
The health ministry has reported 2,757 Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of infections to 2,743,936 cases.

He said 4,620 patients had recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,669,654 while 297 patients remain in intensive care, 247 of whom are confirmed Covid-19 positive and 50 suspected of being infected.

There are 169 patients requiring respiratory assistance, with 96 patients Covid-19 positive and the remaining 73 suspected of being positive.

There were 2,594 local infections today, involving 2,502 Malaysians and 92 foreigners, and 163 imported cases.

Of these, only 1.5% of patients were in Category 3, 4 or 5 at the time of diagnosis.

Noor Hisham also said there were seven clusters reported today.
