
Of the total, only one was classified as brought-in-dead (BID). The death toll now stands at 31,044.
Most of the fatalities were recorded in Perak with seven deaths, followed by Selangor (3), Negeri Sembilan (2), Sabah (2), Kelantan (2), Johor (1), and Perlis (1).
There were no deaths reported in Kedah, Melaka, Pahang, Penang, Sarawak, Terengganu, Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya.
As of midnight, there were 55,475 active cases including 400 in intensive care units (ICU), 198 of whom require respiratory assistance.
There were also 5,098 recoveries reported.
The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia stands at 2,711,764.
