PETALING JAYA:
Former Selangor menteri besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim has sought to allay concerns over his health after pictures of him looking thin and frail circulated on social media.

Khalid said he was “okay now” and had lost weight as he was diabetic and suffered from kidney disease, Sinar Harian reported.

“I am still undergoing haemodialysis treatment,” the portal quoted him as saying.

Khalid said he has been undergoing haemodialysis for the past two years after he was diagnosed with kidney disease.

“Prior to that, I had been diabetic for several years.”

In May, Khalid took to social media to dismiss rumours of his death.

The former Port Klang assemblyman was removed as menteri besar – a post he was appointed to in 2008 – in 2014 following the “Kajang Move” by PKR that ousted him.
