PETALING JAYA:
A total of 463 areas in Selangor and Putrajaya are expected to face water disruptions again after odour pollution was detected in Sungai Semenyih.

Air Selangor said the Sungai Semenyih water treatment plant had to cease operations this morning, affecting Sepang (194 areas), Petaling (172), Hulu Langat (54), Putrajaya (23) and Kuala Langat (20).

Air Selangor has activated the emergency response plan to provide emergency water supply assistance to the affected consumers by mobilising 81 water tankers to be sent to the affected areas.

“Air Selangor will provide updates from time to time through all our official communication channels, such as the Air Selangor app, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. The public can also call the Air Selangor Contact Centre at 15300.

“Inquiries and complaints can also be submitted at the Help Centre via www.airselangor.com and the Air Selangor app.”
