3,900 Covid-19 cases, 7 clusters

This brings the total number of infections to 2,703,140 cases.

PETALING JAYA:
The health ministry has reported 3,900 Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, down from the 4,097 cases yesterday.

Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the total number of infections now stands at 2,703,140 cases.

He said 4,552 patients had recovered, while 384 patients remain in intensive care, 304 of whom are confirmed Covid-19 positive and 80 suspected of being infected; 213 patients required respiratory assistance, with 142 patients Covid-19 positive and the remaining 71 suspected of being positive.

There were 3,881 local infections today, involving 3,692 Malaysians and 189 foreigners, and 19 imported cases.

Of these, only 2.2% of patients were in Category 3, 4 or 5 at the time of diagnosis.

Noor Hisham also said there were seven clusters reported today.
