Cops throw cold water on wild pool partygoers

PETALING JAYA:
Police have detained 299 people, including 110 women, following a raid on a wild pool party at a private club in Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur.

The raid last night was conducted by the Kuala Lumpur Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the Brickfields district police.

According to a report by Berita Harian, officers conducting the raid at 10.50pm found bikini-clad women dancing and having fun in the pool.

The Star also reported that compound notices totalling RM1,565,000 were issued to the people at the gathering.

Those detained were 158 foreign men and 55 foreign women, while the remaining 31 men and 55 women were Malaysians.

Anti-narcotics police also conducted urine tests to identify those who may have been involved in drug abuse.

The partygoers were invited through social media and charged RM60 each.
