PETALING JAYA: Two vehicles are believed to have been buried in a landslide along Jalan Simpang Pulai-Cameron Highlands today.
The incident reportedly occurred at 1.30pm, trapping a car and a lorry.
It is unclear how many people were in the vehicles.
Bernama reported that personnel from the Simpang Pulai fire and rescue station were attempting to rescue the victims.
A spokesman for the Perak fire and rescue department said they received a distress call over the incident at 1.44pm. The landslide had totally blocked the main road.
This comes just a week after several landslides occurred around Cameron Highlands following torrential rain.
