29 Covid-19 deaths reported

The death toll now stands at 30,309.

PETALING JAYA: The health ministry reported 29 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, according to its GitHub database.

Of the total, six were classified as brought-in-dead (BID). The death toll now stands at 30,309.

Most of the fatalities were recorded in Perak with seven deaths, followed by Kedah (6), Kelantan (6), Johor (2), Pahang (2), Sabah (2), Kuala Lumpur (2) and Terengganu (2).

There were no deaths reported in all other states.

As of midnight, there were 67,455 active cases including 511 in intensive care units (ICU), 261 of whom require respiratory assistance.

There were also 5,007 recoveries reported.

The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia stands at 2,623,816.
