
Of the total, 10 were classified as brought-in-dead (BID). The death toll now stands at 30,240.
Perak and Sabah each recorded eight deaths, followed by Johor (5), Kuala Lumpur (4), Kelantan (4), Selangor (4), Pahang (4), Sarawak (3), Terengganu (3), Negeri Sembilan (1) and Perlis (1).
There were no deaths reported in Kedah, Melaka, Penang, Putrajaya and Labuan.
As of midnight, there were 67,547 active cases including 519 in intensive care units (ICU), 267 of whom require respiratory assistance.
There were also 6,664 recoveries reported.
The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia now stands at 2,614,480.
