Also on the radar of the Election Commission (EC) is health minister Khairy Jamaluddin whose Instagram post this morning urged voters to vote for Barisan Nasional (BN), but it is not known if any report has been lodged.
In a press conference outside the Alor Gajah district police station, the Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for Machap Jaya, Law Bing Haw, claimed that Zuraida and Tai were still campaigning for PN this morning in Machap Baru.
He said he received complaints from local residents who were having breakfast.

“There is also a video of Zuraida and Tai walking inside a restaurant, talking to the people and asking if they had gone to vote yet.
“They have breached the Election Offences Act, which clearly states that there can be no campaigning conducted on polling day,” Law said after lodging the police report.
He was joined by Machap Jaya incumbent Ginie Lim, who was dropped by PKR as a candidate for the state polls.

Meanwhile, Khairy’s Instagram post this morning has since gone viral, with many saying that his message “Choose BN for stability and prosperity” has violated the election laws.

When contacted, the EC said any campaign material on the election violates the Election Offences Act if posted after 12am today.
However, EC vice-chairman Azmi Shahrom said it is still a grey area for materials that have been posted before the election day which still remain in the respective domains.
“It is a given that no campaigning is permitted on polling day. So for now the date of the post will decide if anyone has violated the act,” he said when contacted.
Under Section 26 of the Election Offences Act, parties and candidates are prohibited from issuing campaign statements on polling day.
