PETALING JAYA:
A PAS central committee member has claimed that Pakatan Harapan (PH) promotes communist ideology and thus the voters should not give it the mandate in the Melaka state election.

Kamaruzaman Mohamad said they should reject the opposition coalition based on its past record such as the push to ratify the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD) and “promoting” communism.

“The push to ratify the Rome Statute, ICERD and practising communist ideology are some of PH’s big sins that must not be forgiven.

“We were so affected by the violence caused by the communists during their insurgency (more than 50 years ago). But PH promotes this ideology as a national struggle,” he said at a Perikatan Nasional ceramah in Melaka last night.

Further, Kamaruzaman said, many high-profile cases were also closed when PH was in power.

“It is clear that the coalition has a bad track record,” he said.
