55 new Covid-19 deaths reported

Sarawak topped the list of fatalities with 22 deaths.

PETALING JAYA:
The health ministry reported 55 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, according to its GitHub database.

Of the total, 11 were classified as brought-in-dead (BID). The death toll now stands at 29,631

Most of the fatalities were recorded in Sarawak with 22 deaths, followed by Sabah (5), Selangor (5), Kelantan (5), Perak (5), Kedah (4), Terengganu (4) Melaka (2), Johor (1), Pahang (1) and Kuala Lumpur (1)

There were no deaths reported in Negeri Sembilan, Penang, Perlis, Putrajaya and Labuan.

As of 4.18am today, there were 65,319 active cases including 527 in intensive care units (ICU), 277 of whom require respiratory assistance.

There were also 4,712 recoveries reported.

The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia stands at 2,541,147.
