He said: “There’s been heated discussions about this. And now it is coming to an end – the status of two assemblymen, originally from Umno on whether or not they will be accepted”, referring to Idris Haron and Nor Azman Hassan
The opposition leader’s remarks were made in a video posted on Facebook tonight.
Anwar also called for PH component parties to be prudent in their discussions about including Idris, Nor Azman and Bersatu’s Noor Effandi Ahmad, who was also part of the move that brought down the previous state government.
He said prudence was required as the decision could have an impact on attracting voters at the state assembly elections, which will be held on Nov 20.

PH had previously said that the coalition would not field Norhizam, a former DAP rep, at the coming elections.
Earlier today, PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli had claimed that Amanah president Mohamad Sabu and vice-president Adly Zahari were among leaders who wanted the three party-hoppers brought into the coalition for the Melaka elections.
He said the Amanah leaders believed that Idris Haron and “others” would boost the coalition’s strength in the state. A few PKR leaders were also among those insisting on welcoming these “frogs” into the fold for the sake of the elections, he said.
