36 new Covid-19 deaths reported, lowest since May 10

The death toll now stands at 28,912, according to the health ministry.

PETALING JAYA:
The health ministry reported 36 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, the lowest since May 10.

Seven of the deaths were classified as brought-in-dead (BID), according to its GitHub database. The death toll now stands at 28,912.

Sarawak recorded the highest number of deaths at 12, followed by Penang (5) and Terengganu (4).

No deaths were reported in Melaka, Pahang, Perlis, Putrajaya and Labuan.

As of midnight yesterday, there were 67,969 active cases, including 562 in intensive care units (ICU), 326 of whom require respiratory assistance.

The ministry also reported 6,127 recoveries yesterday.

The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia now stands at 2,471,642.
