Sabah anti-narcotics deputy director fined RM8,000 for false claims

KOTA KINABALU:
A National Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK) senior officer was fined a total of RM8,000 by the special corruption court here today on four counts of making false claims.

Christopher Billy, 44, who is now the Sarawak AADK deputy director (prevention), pleaded guilty before judge Abu Bakar Manat to using falsified receipts to claim travel allowances for a series of stays at hotels here in 2017.

He used the fake receipts to claim a total of RM1,122.

Bakar fined him RM2,000 on each count, or two months’ jail in default each.

Christopher paid the fine.
