Schools in Johor, Terengganu to reopen from Nov 8

The education ministry says this is in line with both states moving into Phase 4 of the national recovery plan.

The reopening involves students from Year One to Three in primary schools as well as those in Form Three and Form Four in secondary schools.
PETALING JAYA:
Students in Johor and Terengganu will head back to school from Nov 8 – two weeks after the states move into Phase 4 of the national recovery plan (NRP) tomorrow.

“This reopening involves primary school pupils from Year One to Three as well as students in Form Three and Four in secondary schools,” the education ministry said in a statement.

It added that private schools registered with the ministry would operate according to their own calendars.

Last week, Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the government had decided to move Johor and Terengganu into Phase 4 of the NRP after they had considered all the risk assessments carried out by the health ministry and the National Security Council (MKN).
