They included two civil servants and a businessman with the title “Datuk”.

Johor police chief Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said the customers were aged from 16 to 62.

The raids were carried out under Op Noda, launched on Oct 15.

During the first raid last night at the Berjaya Waterfront Complex in Stulang Laut, police checked 50 people. This saw the two civil servants and businessman being arrested for breaching rules under Phase 3 of the national recovery plan.

“Another 29 customers were detained after testing positive for drugs. Ten women were held for not carrying legal documents,” he said in a statement.

The second raid last night was on a cafe in Taman Desa Jaya, Masai. Seventeen persons were checked and three women were detained for not having legal documents while the others were found to be in breach of SOPs.

During the third raid last night at the Southkey Mosaic commercial area, police checked 16 people, with the owner issued a compound fine of RM25,000 and customers fined RM5,000 each.

Such raids on entertainment outlets in Johor will continue, Ayob Khan said, further urging those with knowledge of vice activities to inform the police at 07-221 2999 or 07-225 4677.
