Nearly 80% of pupils have received one vaccine dose, says minister

He says details on the rate of vaccination in public schools are now available at the CovidNow website.

Senior education minister Radzi Jidin says his ministry will continue to work closely with the health ministry on the national immunisation programme for adolescents.
KUALA LUMPUR:
Nearly 80% of schoolchildren aged between 12 and 17 have so far received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, said senior minister for education Radzi Jidin.

He said the education ministry will continue to work closely with the health ministry on the national immunisation programme for adolescencts, which began in early September.

Vaccination details for public schools had now been made available by the health ministry on the CovidNow website, he said.

“Through this new feature, parents or guardians can check the rate of vaccination of students in their children’s respective schools at https://covidnow.moh.gov.my/school,” he said.

Radzi said the feature will provide transparent information for the public, especially parents and guardians.
