KUALA LUMPUR: Police are investigating a video clip said to contain disparaging remarks on non-Muslim faiths and races linked to an independent preacher.
Bukit Aman CID director Abdul Jalil Hassan said the one-minute video, which had gone viral on social media in the past few days, had incurred the anger of the people.
In a statement late last night, he said the investigation was being carried out by Bukit Aman CID under Section 505(c) of the Penal Code for making a statement with intent to incite or which is likely to incite a community.
The probe was also being carried out under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1988 for abuse of network facilities or network services.
