According to a resident, who only wanted to be known as Ima, the two piglets had been abandoned without food since June and were only discovered in September.
Some residents, who found out about the starving animals, decided to give them some food out of pity.
Harian Metro said other residents felt uneasy and also questioned the cleanliness of the place.
“Complaints were made to the housing management for action to be taken, including contacting the house owner,” it quoted Ima as saying.
“The management said it had no knowledge of the matter. Until today, the animals are still in the house.”
Ima, who has lived in Tasek Mutiara for two years, said officers from the Seberang Perai City Council (MBSP) showed up yesterday after a complaint was made.
“We understand that a notice has been issued to the house owner to remove the pigs within three days,” she said.
