Umno to hold 2021 AGM from Jan 13-15

Party secretary-general Ahmad Maslan says the decision was made by the Supreme Council at its monthly meeting last night.

PETALING JAYA:
Umno will hold its 2021 annual general assembly from Jan 13-15 next year, party secretary-general Ahmad Maslan said today.

This comes following a decision made by the party’s Supreme Council during a monthly meeting last night. The meeting was chaired by Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

He said it was also agreed for the party to hold other related meetings, starting with the branches from Oct 15 to Nov 30, followed by divisions from Dec 11-18.

Ahmad added that no party polls would be held during the meetings.

“Meetings can be held either in person, online, or a combination of both depending on the Covid-19 situation in the respective constituencies,” he said in a statement today.

He added that all meetings must also fulfil the required 25% quorum.
