PETALING JAYA:
The tourism, arts and culture ministry said interstate travel for tourism activities is only allowed in Langkawi under the pilot travel bubble project for now.

It said permission to reopen tourism activities and interstate travel is still subject to the SOPs set by the National Security Council (MKN).

This comes after Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said last week that interstate travel and tourism activities will be allowed to resume once 90% of the adult population has been fully vaccinated based on data and analysis made by the health ministry.

In a statement today, the ministry said the government will make an official announcement as soon as suitable dates are established.

It said that based on data from the Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee (JKJAV), 85.1% of the adult population has been fully vaccinated as of yesterday.
